A long-contested project in Riviera Village was voted down by the Redondo Beach Planning Commission Nov. 19, but it will likely not be the end of the road for the developer.
Edward Czuker, the CEO of Legado, said the company still needs to come up with a game plan for their next steps.
“This is obviously a time to reflect on what the best course of action is going forward,” Czuker said.
The Planning Commission unanimously voted down a 149-unit proposal that has made its way slowly through the commission since July. The body granted an extension to the developer in July until November to make any necessary changes. But those changes were made too late in the game, said city staff at the meeting.
